I recently read a blog, written by a lady who owed a successful bakery. She got into baking because she wanted to bake her son’s First Birthday Cake and the rest is history as they say. I saw this story as inspiration. Yea I’m no Betty Home Maker, but come one Betty must have had her days and she had to start somewhere right? Right????
So I'm back at it......................
Cup Cake Wars Part 2, Entitled - Never give up, No matter what, Rise to the challenge,
So here we go again.........
So I rushed off to the supermarket with a smell of Red Velvet in the air.
As ironic as this may sound, I’m not a fan of pastry but come on does Martha Stewart like every single things she makes?
So for part 2 of Cup Cake Wars, I decided to go up against the Big Guns....the guys who I think put the VELVET in Red Velvet.
Pastry Passions in Sovereign Center...need I say more. Pastry Passion was where I fell in love with Red Velvet for real, yea I heard they were good but no one told me it was roll your eyes over good...
I would be the judge fair and square - Pastry Passions vs Papillion.....
It’s on like Donkey Kong
The ingredients
Part 1 – Wet Mixture, I’m guessing the Red in the Velvet is made in this step
If you never believed it was RED!!!!
Part 2 – Dry Mixture
The Velvet, you think? From the last battle I invested in another cup cake pan, ready for battle me sey..................

Red meets Velvet, and become one, true love?Looking good, watch out Pastry Passions
The enemy........

I hate this stove...it cost me the battle once again..grrhh
The results....burnt. AGAIN grhhhhhh

After this... I gained the Household name – The Mighty Burner

Not looking bad after all a guess, that stove going be the death of me and my baking career..grhhhh
Ok, Ok I’m defiantly going to give this one to Pastry Passions. Mine did taste good but I didn’t get that eye roll over effect I was going for......so till next time
Continue to enjoy the metamorphosis.
